Urad Dal (White), also known as White Urad Dal , is the hulled and split version of Urad Dal (Black Gram). Unlike the whole variety, white urad dal has its black outer skin removed, leaving behind the creamy white inner portion of the lentil. This makes it quicker to cook and easier to digest compared to the whole urad dal.
